SSMRT have been our security consultant and suppliers at AW House in Luton for the past five years . We have used then for advice on security needs and also to supply guards . They are knowledgeable, professional and still keep that family feel so are approachable and friendly.

As part of our relationship I have also taken part in their level 3 casualty and trauma training. They use high quality training providers and the teams are trained at a high level and under pressure to replicate real life scenarios. I was not only impressed with the level of training but also the staffs attitude and that of Gary too . He was part of the team not only learning new techniques but also mentoring and guiding his team as a good leader should .

I also volunteered to support as a medic at an event working with Vanessa and a team in London at a multi Venue event. The team and the communication was first rate . The teams gelled well and blended into the background so the event was enjoyed but if needed they would step in early to defuse situation smoothly and efficiently without excessive force or disruption. The one medical situation I was involved with was handled by a well trained team working smoothly and together. This resulted in minimal distress to the person involved her friends or the event.

Burning Nest isn’t just an event it’s a community and, over the years that Gary and Vanessa have provided security services for us, they have become part of that community. We are a 1000 capacity, non-profit event run and staffed entirely by volunteers. This provides some unique challenges which Twining’s security have always been willing to work with us on.

They provide a high quality professional service but one that’s willing to be flexible to the needs of our event. In our case that’s a response team based, plains clothed and subtle presence. Our event enjoys a particularly compliant crowd 99% of the time. So security have a role primarily based on keeping people out and keeping participants safe rather than managing incidents in our crowd. But as soon as they’re needed I know they’re always there and handle anything that arises with the utmost care and professionalism. Knowing that all their staff are also First Aid trained is a bonus for an event of our size and budget, complimenting and supporting our dedicated Medical team of 2 paramedics. While doing perimeter patrols security are always happy to help us with our sound management as well. A job usually outside of security’s expected role! But just another illustration of their generous approach to the work.
